Future Planning

Luke 14 28 For which of you, desiring to build a tower, does not first sit down and count the cost, whether he has enough to complete it? 29 Otherwise, when he has laid a foundation and is not able to finish, all who see it begin to mock him, 30 saying, ‘This man began to build and was not able to finish.’

Matthew 6 31 Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. April 2014 Update

Salutations!  Here’s another update on my goals and where I’m at.  I apologize for my tardiness here.  I should have had this up at the beginning of the month, and instead I’m a couple of weeks in.  With that said, I have taken a few steps forward in a number of areas, but not all.

A Look Ahead in Theology

upload1Salutations.

For me, this blog serves as an outlet of various means.  I write fictional stories, self introspective articles and thoughts about theology.  Below is a list of what I’m currently working on.  Expect each of these to show up often in my blog as I study each one.  Posting this information here not only helps to set my mind in a direction, but also gives you clear direction on what to look into if you wish to join me in my studies.  Proverbs 27.17 says, “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.”

Plan for Success

Salutations!  Happy New Year!

Many people make resolutions every New Year.  Personally, I like to look at it as goal setting.  Regardless, USA Today gives some great advice in planning them out.  I would like to discuss this just a bit further, and share how I plan to use it in my own life.

What’s Your God?

Recently, a friend posted one of those ‘before and after’ pages, showing that he lost a lot of weight.  On it, he provided a link to the diet plan that he followed to lose it all.  Curious, I clicked on it.  Eventually, it lead to me downloading a 24 page booklet that I blazed through in a few minutes.  Written with a focus on the Bible’s take on the matter, it pointed out that the heart of the matter is a matter of a heart.  In other words, if you are overwight, it is because you’re a glutton.  The Bible speaks very clearly about this, calling it an outright sin.  Aside from the health implications, for many overweight Christians, food replaces God as the center of worship.

Decisions

Salutations.

I read the comments and emails about ‘A Quick Experiment.’  It seems that many of you are really in favor of the comic format, even if that means taking longer…a LOT longer.

As I may have mentioned in a previous blog entry, I’m currently in a very busy season of my life.  It doesn’t allow too much time for creative anything, at the moment.  However, I’ve been around the block enough times to know that these seasons come and go.  It will only be a matter of time before this time of high responsibility fades, and I find myself with a lot more time for creative works!

In the mean time, I believe I will try my hand at some short stories here on my blog.  They may be one shorts, or perhaps you might seem some recurring characters.  Time will tell!
